ANNEMARIE McInally, Curriculum Leader for Science Section at Coatbridge College I was a mature student so I understand the step that you’re now about to take because I have been there.

The courses we offer continue to provide an ideal path into Higher Education as well as various careers and our section has actively developed courses in response to the needs of students and their prospective employers.

Our Science courses have been designed to offer you the opportunity to progress onto the course or career path of your choice including nursing, forensics, biomedical or biotechnology industries.

We have three well equipped Science labs to support you in developing your practical skills for the workplace or University and our highly qualified staff have a friendly, open door attitude and aspire to help every student achieve both their academic and personal goals.

So, whatever area of Science you’re interested in, we’ve got the course for you!

an image of Mark, NC Applied Science, Science Section at Coatbridge College My course was really varied and I liked that. I got to learn about loads of things like physics and chemistry.

We even got to grow E.coli and yeast as part of micro biology! My class was full of different people from different backgrounds so it was great to meet new people and mix with such a diverse group.

I’m now studying HND Sports Therapy at Nautical College. I’d like to eventually work in the sports industry and do physiotherapy.

Coming to College has really boosted my confidence. I’ve recently applied for a scholarship to an American College so I can further my studies, so fingers crossed!
