Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework
The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) is used to help you understand how different courses relate to each other.Each qualification is given SCOTCAT credit points and a level to make it easier for you to compare one with another.
Looking at the different levels in the framework, you can see where you are now and the different routes you can follow to reach your next destination.
Each course in this guide explains the entry requirements you may need to start the course, as well as what you might progress to on completion, e.g. further education, university or employment.
If you are a mature student and do not have formal qualifications you may find your experience will be sufficient to gain entry.
