Visitors enjoy a beautiful night at Coatbridge College | 07.12.09
Guests enjoyed a variety of beauty treats at Coatbridge College when a group of HND Beauty Therapy students organised a launch event for their section’s new Skin Management Clinic.
The students – Arlene Welsh, Lauren McCarron, Lorna Dawson, Louise Gillan and Kirsty Hazlett – planned the event as part of their employment experience unit and were assisted by fellow students on other beauty courses.
Throughout the event, students demonstrated the latest non-surgical procedures including microdermabrasion, dermasonic and pressortherapy. Guests also had the opportunity to benefit from a free skin consultation, mini facial and hand treatment as well as receiving a special discount on Environ products available at the College’s Beauty Reception.
Margaret Donaldson, Beauty Therapy Lecturer, said:
‘The evening was a tremendous success for our section. It was an opportunity for us to showcase our students and treatments to new clients, and thank our existing clients for their continued support.
The evening was really enjoyed by the students and gave them the opportunity to develop their professionalism and practical ability as well as their communication and client care skills.’
The new Skin Management Clinic is open to the public and clients receive a free skin consultation where students will assess individual needs and advise an appropriate treatment plan to improve the appearance and health of the skin.
Clients can make an appointment for a full range of beauty treatments on Mondays and Fridays. Alternatively, appointments are available during the day or in the evenings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please call Beauty Reception on 01236 422 404 to make an appointment or request a treatment menu.
