Coatbridge College Celebrate Employability | 21.07.09

Coatbridge College students and staff celebrated with employers after another successful year for the Colleges Employability course.

The Support for Learning department at Coatbridge College offers the Employability course to provide support for students who may have additional support needs. The course gives the student the opportunity to work closely with local businesses to develop their employability skills required for the workplace and enhance their vocational skills.

Students and employers gathered at Coatbridge College to celebrate the successful completion of the course over a buffet lunch, where certificates were presented to the students and employers for their achievements.

Lyn Gilliland, lecturer for the Employability course, said:
‘This course really improves the confidence of many of the students involved and certainly improves their employability skills. We’re very proud of their achievements and appreciate the support of all the businesses involved.’
