Coatbridge College Celebrate Employability | 15.07.10

Coatbridge College students and staff celebrated with employers after another successful year for the Colleges Employability course.

The Support for Learning department at Coatbridge College offers the Employability course to provide support for students who may have additional support needs. The course gives students the opportunity to work closely with local businesses to develop their employability skills required for the workplace and enhance their vocational skills.

Students were joined by staff and employers at Coatbridge College to celebrate their achievements over a buffet lunch and receive their completion certificates.

Lyn Gilliland, lecturer for the Employability course, said:
‘It has been another great year for the Employability Course - I’m very proud of everyone involved.

This course really boosts the confidence of our students, improves their employability skills and highlights their capabilities - to themselves and the employers. We greatly appreciate the support of all the businesses involved.’
