Elizabeth Miller, Curriculum Leader For Health and Social Care at Coatbridge College If you plan to work within either health or social care then please allow me to introduce our courses for your consideration.

The Introduction to Health and Social Care is perfect for individuals who wish to ease gently back into education or who have left school with minimal qualifications. This course leads nicely into the next level of either health or social care studies, where many of the subjects are at Intermediate 2 to Higher Level and demand higher entry qualifications. The two HNC courses in either Social Care or Health Care prepare those students who wish to access University for Nursing or Social Sciences, or registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.

We also have two very successful Scottish Wider Access courses in Nursing and Social Sciences, and are proud of our partnership arrangements with nearby Universities. Successful candidates must undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, and for some health related courses, students must undertake an immunisation programme for Hepatitis ‘B’. We will assist and direct you in all requirements that are necessary.
