Erasmus University Charter
To participate in the Erasmus Programme under the Lifelong Learning Programme all higher education institutions have to have an Erasmus University Charter (EUC) . Institutions must have an EUC to receive Erasmus funding.
The EUC is, in effect, an 'entry-ticket' into the Erasmus programme. It is valid for the lifetime of the current Lifelong programme (ie until 2013). The Charter can, however, be withdrawn by the Commission if an institution does not comply with the terms and conditions of displaying the Charter in a public place and publishing the Erasmus Policy statement on line.
The full Erasmus Charter can be read here.
