Return of Books and Equipment
Textbooks, including Learning Resource Centre (LRC) books, must be returned at the specified times or you may face a fine. Also, any materials, resources, equipment, clothing or books lent to you for your course, must be returned when you leave the College. If you do not do this you will be invoiced for the full cost of the item. If you need further information please contact the LRC on 01236 707091.Change of Personal Details
Students must notify of any change of personal details (name, address, employment status etc.) to Student Services, Faculty Support Assistant and to the appropriate Curriculum Leader. Such notification should be in writing, and should be given as soon as possible.Change of Course
We appreciate that you may wish to negotiate your choice of course. If you want to make any changes, for example to add or drop a subject, or to change a course completely, you should talk to your Cirriculum Leader in the first instance. We will try to agree a new learning programme in line with your wishes.Withdrawal from Classes
If for any reason you wish to leave your course before the finishing date please let your Curriculum Leader know in writing. Sometimes it may be possible to sort the situation so that you are able to continue your studies.If you do decide to leave we may be able to help you consider the options available to you outside the College. Please do not simply stop coming to College, whatever the reason. Speak to your Curriculum Leader or to Student Services who may be able to help you.
Complaints Procedure
We are committed to giving our students and customers the best possible service across the whole range of our activities. The quality of service that we give is important and is regularly checked.If you wish to make a complaint about any part of College life, you should speak to your Curriculum Leader or Student Services.
Enrolment and ID cards
EnrolmentWe do not have any barriers to late entry to programmes, however it is important that you enroll as early as possible after the programme has started to give you the best possible chance of success.
If you express an interest in starting a programme after the start date, a member of staff will talk to you on a one to one basis about the best plan of action to follow that will let you maximise the opportunity to succeed.
ID Cards
All students will be issued with an identity card at enrolment. This card has many uses, including access to the LRC and must be carried at all times while you are in the College. If you do no display your identification card you may not be allowed to access the College until it is shown. If you lose your card a replacement is needed and will be charged at £10.
