Citizenship
Citizenship at Coatbridge College is an important part of learning. Such activities are not directly linked to a student’s main course but will improve their learning experience.
Some students are involved in foreign travel; others may organise a fund raising event for charity, whilst some may go to visit Universities and/or potential work places. Other activities include visiting art galleries, going to the theatre. These activities give students a broader perspective and improve learning by taking students outside the classroom.
The purpose of Citizenship is to ensure that you do not just focus on your main subjects but have the opportunity to broaden your experiences and have the chance to develop your skills to coping with Higher Education and employment.
Citizenship develops the whole person. We hope that students will leave with a good qualification and be confident and ready to take their next step.
Student activities and participation in College life are supported by the Students' Association.
