Coatbridge College Celebrates Students Success

On Wednesday the 26th of October Scotland’s oldest College celebrated students’ success at their annual graduation ceremony in the prestigious Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Coatbridge College graduates were presented with their qualification by Principal John Doyle in front of an audience of around 1200 people encompassing family, friends, College staff and VIP guests.

Guests were entertained by the College’s talented HND Performing Arts students with a medley of songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s popular musical ‘The Sound of Music’.

Scottish Enterprise Chief Executive, Doctor Lena C Wilson joined the celebrations as the event’s guest speaker and shared her story of a successful career spanning over 20 years. She provided an insight into her fascinating work in economic development, leaving the graduates feeling inspired.



John Doyle, Principal of Coatbridge College, said:
‘Our 2011 graduation was a huge success with students, staff and guests all enjoying the special occasion. Our guest speaker struck a chord with the graduates through an intriguing account of her successful career.
