Difficulty With Workload

If you find you are experiencing difficulty in balancing your workload, help is available at the Horizon Centre, which can be found on the lower ground floor, Room L18.

You can call-in and make an appointment to speak with one of our advisors or alternatively, send an email to:  horizon@coatbridge.ac.uk and a member of our staff will contact you.

Help available can include 121 support in organisation and time management skills, planning your workload, essay writing, report writing, basic spelling techniques, study skills, numeracy (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, fractions, area and problem solving).

All support given through the Horizon Centre is of a confidential nature between the student and the advisor. All students, with the aid of an advisor will complete a Personal Learning Support Plan.

Personal Development Planning (PDP)

During your time at College you will be given guidance in a variety of different ways at different stages during your course. Help with exploring the range of course opportunities at Coatbridge College is readily available (including progression from your course to Higher Education). Students are allocated a guidance tutor who will meet with you regularly to discuss your progress through completing a Personal Development Plan (PDP).
